XU is a self-taught Chinese-Australian artist.  She grew up in the rice fields in a small remote village in southern china. Seeking inspiration and a change of lifestyle, led her to move to Cambodia in 1999 then to Australia in 2012.  She now lives in the bush lands in Mount Alexander Shire. Her passion and love for art has allowed her to continue her development both artistically and spiritually over the years. She began exhibiting her works in 2007.
