Artist: Angeline Baron

ARTIST BIO

Angeline is an Australian multi-disciplinary artist, living in rural Victoria with her partner and rescue cats.

BACKGROUND

Angeline has enjoyed success in the art field, after working in Radiology for many years. Her work has sold to hundreds of clients all over Australia, the US, Europe and the UK. Angeline is a proud member of the Art For Action Collective.

DEVELOPMENT OF STYLE

Having studied art under the guidance of her talented father, Angeline went on to complete formal studies in clay sculpture, oil painting, acrylics, graphite, lino cut, Indian ink and watercolour. Her studies encompassed still life, figurative, portraiture, landscape and abstract art. As part of her formal studies, she read art history and architecture, as well as completing units in graphic art and drafting.
Over time, Angeline's artistic expression has turned to Klimt-like depictions of the world around her. Her desire to express her ideas about her own experiences is reflected in the portraits and still life paintings she creates. Her use of mixed media breathes unique life into her work, creating contrast in both the depth and surface of her art.
Angeline is moved to create art that reflects a particular thought or inspiration, art that calms her busy brain and art that soothes her soul.

OTHER CREATIONS

Other than painting, Angeline is a writer. Her published works are Blood in the dust; The Anaswitch; and WickenRic. She is currently working on a fourth.
